IT Manager

ADCBio is an innovative biotechnology company developing new process technology to speed, simplify and significantly lower the production costs of the latest generation of anti-cancer blockbuster drugs, Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs). Formed in 2010, ADCBio have recently secured significant investment that is enabling a new dedicated 6500m² facility in Deeside to support the rapid expansion plans of the Company.

To support this growth, we are recruiting for an experienced and highly skilled IT Manager. The IT Manager will be responsible for general IT support across the company. Assisting in the day to day support, providing help to end-user's with IT queries, requests and problems.

Key Duties:


  • Network and maintain key environmental monitoring systems and a large amount of scientific equipment in line with validation/GMP procedures
  • Writing SOP’s for GMP related processes
  • Provide first point contact support to end-users
  • Provide additional help to IT staff as and when required
  • Help facilitate end user’s IT requirements
  • Assist in development and improvement of the division wide support function
  • Provide advice and guidance to end-users
  • Support for general hardware (laptops, PCs, Servers, printers etc.)
  • Provide support for standard software such as Office 365 services, SharePoint, Windows 10 etc
  • Act as administrator for systems such as end user backup system, asset inventory, auditing etc
  • Ensure the IT support helpdesk is kept up to date, and manage the system on a day to day basis
  • Help maintain and develop bespoke Database which utilises VBScript and a Back End SQL Database
  • Run and manage IT projects
  • Potential implementation of an ERP system to efficiently and effectively link all business functions and processes


Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Key Skills and Experience required:

  • Experience working in a similar IT Manager role
  • Good working knowledge of general Microsoft software and network connectivity including TCPIP/VPN/VLANs
  • Have knowledge of ITIL best practices
  • Good project management experience
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Capacity to prioritise and flexibility are essential
  • Ability to work well under pressure and hit deadlines
  • Experience of Windows server 2012, Hyper-V, Cisco Meraki, Microsoft Access and Mimecast would be beneficial
  • Some experience of Microsoft Azure Infrastructure
  • Experience in supporting a range of systems and a variety end user’s requirement is essential
  • Excellent communication skills and able to communicate at all levels


Key Skills and Experience desired:

  • Microsoft 365 qualification
